Nature of Business
Inspecta is the market leading Nordic Testing, Inspection and Certification (TIC) business. The company offers a broad range of inspection, testing, certification, technical consultancy and training services to a diversified customer base with more than 1400 employees and from more than 60 offices in Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.
Inspecta serves the Nordic and Baltic industrial structure in the fields of energy, process and engineering industry as well as the real-estate sector.
Investment Overview
Since 3i led the buyout of Inspecta in June 2007, in a €243m EV deal, the business has grown both organically and through acquisition. We have supported management’s ambitious growth strategy, completing 13 acquisitions since the original MBO. Our network of industry specialists and sector knowledge continues to help management identify and access potential acquisition targets.
Our goal is to build on Inspecta’s market-leading Nordic position, ensuring the company is attractive to the international TIC players and to have the potential to expand into Eastern Europe and we continue to review further acquisition opportunities.
Through our Active Partnership programme we have helped strengthen the group’s management systems, driven integration, improve processes and execution on key M&A. Though our network we have introduced leading industry industrialist Ad Verkuyten as Chairman and CEO, Mats Jungar.
