International Tractors is one of India’s leading manufacturers of tractors and agricultural machinery with a market share of over 10%.

Established in 1995, International Tractors (ITL) is the flagship company of farm equipment manufacturer Sonalika Group. It produces tractors of up to 90 horsepower under the Sonalika Tractors and Renault Ceres Tractors brands, the latter a result of a joint venture with Renault Agriculture of France.

The company has headquarters in Delhi and a manufacturing location in Hoshiarpur, India employing more than 1,500 people.

Its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Hoshiarpur has a current capacity of 40,000 tractors and 30,000 engines a year, with plans to double production capacity. It also has in-house facilities to produce transmission and hydraulic components.

ITL has grown rapidly over the past ten years and has fast become India’s number three tractor manufacturer. In 2006, it is expected to sell over 32,000 tractors in India, and overseas to markets such as France, South Africa, Australia and Canada.
