KNEIP is an established European market-leading independent service provider to the fund industry, giving asset managers, administrators and promoters a competitive edge in distributing their fund data, maintaining regulatory compliance, and improving the accuracy of their funds’ data.
KNIEP provides services to more than 360 fund companies and 11,950 funds worldwide and are headquartered in Luxembourg with offices in UK, France and Switzerland.
Investment Overview
3i invested in May 2007 for a significant minority stake to help increase KNEIP’s service offering and expand its geographical reach. We were chosen as partner by founder Bob Kneip because of our international network and shared vision for accelerating growth and future development.
We worked closely with management to support the launch of new offices in London and Paris and leveraged our European network and sector expertise to support three international acquisitions, allowing KNEIP to grow the service offering, strengthen technological development and enhance customer service.
In June 2010 KNEIP repurchased all shares held by 3i following three years of strong consistent growth despite difficult markets.
