Headquartered in Osby, southern Sweden, Lekolar is active across the whole Nordic region. Focused on enhancing learning environments for children and young people, its objective is to offer pre-schools and schools the tools they need to provide content-rich, enjoyable and rewarding activities.

Lekolar has the largest product range on the market, with over 7,000 items. These include teaching aids, educational toys, painting, drawing and writing materials, as well as furniture and equipment.

Lekolar has around 250 employees.

Lekolar’s strategy is based on continued expansion in the Nordic region and fully exploiting sourcing opportunities. Lekolar is currently pursuing a number of acquisitions in the region aimed at expanding both its product range and distribution network.

The Nordic market currently consists of around 60,000 pre-schools and schools. The size of this market is around €392m. Lekolar’s biggest clients are the regional municipalities with which it has long-term service agreements. It also sells directly to end-user schools and pre-schools in the region.
