The Private Equity Awards 2008

3i has won the Large Deal of the Year award at the 2008 Private Equity Awards, hosted by Real Deals and the BVCA.

The judges stated: "This was smart investing. 3i separated the business and cleverly structured the finance package to allow investment in the business, despite its lack of property ownership. It grew the services business well, gaining numerous contract wins and increasing employee numbers."
