Petrochem Carless Limited (PCL) is a leading European refiner and distributor of high performance specialty hydrocarbons,advanced automotive fluids and specialty chemicals.

The company was formed in December 2000 following the merger of Petrochem UK and Carless Refining and Marketing.

The Carless refinery in Harwich processes condensate from the North Sea gas fields on behalf of major gas producers. Carless is a leading supplier of gas liquids, hydrocarbon solvents, performance fluids such as racing fuel for Formula 1 and specialty products such as mud oils and printing inks.

The Petrochemical division supplies antifreeze, screenwash and de-icer for the automotive aftermarket as well as distributing solvents under licence.

Major customers include Shell, Morgan Stanley, Comma, Baker Hughes, Exxon Mobil and Rhodia.

PCL has headquarters in Leatherhead, England and operates from facilities in Harwich and Gunness, Lincolnshire, with sales and distribution facilities around Europe. The group employs 190 staff.
