Pilatus Aircraft

Pilatus is a leading developer and producer of civil and military training aircraft, based in Switzerland.

Founded in 1939, Pilatus is the world market leader in the manufacture and sale of ‘single engine’ turboprop aircraft.

The group has a portfolio of three business lines: general aviation, government aviation and maintenance.

General aviation is currently the main business line, with significant growth potential in the government and maintenance divisions. This will further improve the group’s profile and generate synergies.

In the general aviation line, Pilatus’ versatile PC-12 has been the best selling ‘single engine’ turboprop aircraft for the past three years. Over 500 have been sold since 1994 and it is currently the group’s largest business line.

The aircraft attracts business and private customers worldwide with its high performance in different applications and low total cost.

The group’s new revolutionary PC-21 trainer has been developed in close co-operation with air forces who are likely to be among its first customers.

Pilatus is headquartered in Stans, Switzerland, with two further maintenance subsidiaries in Switzerland, sales subsidiaries in Australia and the US, and sales offices in the UK, Malaysia and UAE. The group has over 1,200 employees.
