The group has a portfolio of three business lines: general aviation with its flagship PC-12, government aviation with the advanced PC-21 and additional military training aircraft and maintenance. Pilatus is headquartered in Stans, Switzerland, and generated total sales of CHF 688 Million in 2010.
Investment Overview
3i invested for a minority stake in Pilatus in 2005 and has supported the company's development and growth over a six year period.
During our investment period, Pilatus successfully developed and launched the PC-21 trainer aircraft, which was developed in close co-operation with air forces who are among its first key customers.
In March 2011, 3i sold its stake to Zurich-based IHAG Holding, leaving Pilatus very well positioned for future growth.
