Precise Media, formerly KBBI, is one of the UK’s leading press cuttings agencies (PCAs), supplying its customers with relevant daily media cuttings.

Precise Media has become one of three dominant players in its market, which is worth around £60m a year, following an eight year acquisition programme that has seen Precise Media buy five separate businesses.

Each of Precise Media’s businesses focuses on a specific client group: Precise Media provides a high-speed service to PR agencies and financial institutions; EDS Media serves government agencies and the energy sector; EPCA (Entertainment Press Cuttings Agency) covers the entertainment sector; ClipAbility Media is a strong regional player based in Yorkshire; and Media Report Editorial (MRE) provides sophisticated media evaluation services. 3i and Royal Bank of Scotland, the company’s principal capital providers, are both customers.

Headquartered in London and employing 280 people, Precise Media, formerly known as KBBI, was founded in 1996 by former Financial Times managers Martin Knight and Chris Banner.
