SeLoger is the leading French online property site and boasts the most widely read property advertisements in France, operating two flagship websites (SeLoger.com and Immostreet.com).
With over 1.3 million daily refreshed listings from 9,000 customers, which are viewed by more than 6 million visitors in France every month. SeLoger enjoys an exclusive partnership with internet portals like Yahoo!, AOL, MSN, Wanadoo and Google.
Investment Overview
In December 2005, 3i partnered with the founders and management of SeLoger, investing €60m for a minority stake.
During our investment, we played a major role in strengthening the management team with three key hires: Managing Director, JF Mathieu, recruited from Yahoo!, plus a new Marketing Director and an Investor Relations Manager. We also actively supported the business with the strategic acquisitions of two businesses - Dataleads and
Pericles – enabling SeLoger to maintain its market-leading position.
Further to this, we brought our extensive experience of the IPO markets to assist in preparing the company for a €422m IPO in December 2006, creating the largest internet market capitalisation on the NYSE Euronext Paris stock exchange at the time.
