TelecityGroup specialises in the design, build and management of highly connected and secure environments in which customers can house their technical, web and internet
infrastructure. Each of its data centres acts as a connectivity and content hub, facilitating the storage, sharing and distribution of data, content and media.

Headquartered in London, TelecityGroup operates 20 network independent data centres across seven European countries. The data centres are located in prime positions for commerce and connectivity, including Amsterdam, Dublin, Frankfurt, London, Manchester, Milan, Paris and Stockholm.

Following a successful IPO in October 2007, TelecityGroup is now listed on the LSE. 3i retains a 23.7% stake.

The proceeds from the 2007 IPO were used to de-gear the company’s balance sheet and provide funds for an ambitious programme of new data centre development.

The provision of data centre services has been fragmented, with numerous players. TelecityGroup is focused on driving consolidation so that it leads the provision of data centre services across Europe.

The business strategy is to continue acquiring additional space in relevant locations that will satisfy increasing demand in the sector. In addition, the provision of a range of managed services will serve as a key differentiator from competitors.
