Founded in 1933, Vétoquinol develops and produces medicines for treating pets, livestock and horses, mainly for prescription. The group’s products cover 75% of therapeutic segments.

In 1999, the group embarked on an aggressive acquisition programme to increase its distribution network. Major purchases include Webster in Canada, Chassot in Switzerland and IGI in the US.

Vétoquinol is the 13th largest player in the €12bn global animal health market (excluding pet food groups).The group is headquartered in Lure, eastern France, with four manufacturing sites and subsidiaries in 16 countries. The group employs more than 1,100 people.
