The CFO Forum brought together CFOs of 3i’s buyout, growth capital and infrastructure investee companies. Held in London, the forum provided the opportunity to share the challenges and success stories of the last 18 months, at the same time reinforcing the 3i CFO network – a wish expressed by many people in our network.
The economic crisis in 2009 has brought about important long term structural change to the day-to-day operations of a wide range of companies and industries. In addition, finance has become harder to secure and more expensive, increasing the importance of cash. The CFO role has never been more challenging.
In the course of the CFO forum, we addressed a number of best practice topics across the broad headings of operational improvement, enhanced downside protection, and improved liquidity in the business.
3i’s active partnership approach is at the heart of this event – 3i seeks to help its portfolio companies on their journey towards successful implementation of best practice projects in a wide range of operational areas that strengthen the companies’ competitive position.
