Around 20 venture investors from 3i and over 30 3i portfolio attended 3GSM Barcelona 2007, the worlds' largest mobile trade show.  There were approx 55,000 delegates attending the event and this is the fourth year that 3i have attended en masse, taking advantage of the presence of all major players in the global mobile industry in one place.

The key theme was "mobile trends in China" and we had the honour of presenting the Chairman of Digitone, China's largest mobile phone retailer, Mr Donghai Liu, to be the keynote speaker at our China Mobile Retail Lunch on Wednesday 14th February which was hosted by Phil Yea.

3i and our portfolio were based at the Hotel Catalonia Ramblas for the week where we hosted three networking cocktail parties with a total of 730 guests as well as pre-planned meetings throughout the week with a variety of new and existing contacts. 

As a result of the show, the 3i global venture team generated several new leads and forged many new relationships.
