Prior to 3i’s investment, ERM was owned by more than 300 small shareholders around the world; 3i advised the business in streamlining its ownership and governance structures. 3i leveraged its strong sector expertise and network to support ERM as it opened offices in new countries and made a series of acquisitions. We successfully sold ERM in 2005.
