Fairline’s strong brand is known for its quality design, finish and classic styling. Its boats have low depreciation rates and high resale values. There is also strong evidence of customer brand loyalty, with many customers trading up through the model range.

Fairline sells its boats through an exclusive, independent dealer network in 70 international locations and around 90% of its turnover comes from outside the UK.

The company is based in Oundle and Corby in the UK and has been manufacturing boats for 40 years.

Recognising customers’ desire to spend more on larger boats, Fairline is shifting production in this direction. This boosts the average product value and improves both the top line and margins.

Significant further capital has been invested to expand the manufacturing capacity, enabling further new models to be added to the range. The company’s plans also involve expanding the distribution network further around the globe.

Since the management buyout, the company has made several key appointments in finance and manufacturing, and in the supply chain. The strengthened team will be vital in delivering the business plan.
