• Alimak Hek (growth capital): is a world-leading provider of vertical access solutions, based in Sweden.  Its products include lifts, hoists and platforms.  Due the boom in constructing tall buildings, China accounts for more than 50% of the world market for the company’s products, encouraging Alimak Hek to develop a local presence and contribute to the evolving technological and safety standards.  We introduced the company to a local specialist, who helped them identify the right location; manage the design and build of their Chinese factory; in addition to addressing the legal requirements of operating in China

• Norma Group (buyout): is a leading German supplier of components to the automotive industry.  Increasingly, vehicle builders only give contracts to suppliers who can work with them in Asia.  We’re helping Norma Group develop its Asian capabilities by providing strategic and operational advice, and introducing contacts.  In China, we’re helping them establish a new manufacturing and sales operation, and restructure a current joint-venture.  In India, we’re assisting in develpoing a manufacturing capability

• Vette Corp. (venture): is a leading global provider of thermal management solutions for the computer and industrial electronics industries, headquartered in the US, with production in China and an Asian customer base covering China, Taiwan and non-Japan Asia.  In 2005, 3i helped the local management idenitfy a debt-related product for working capital financing for the China plant.
