Don joined 3i in 2011. He leads and manages business development in North America, and is focused on expanding 3i’s private equity presence and sourcing new investment opportunities.

Don joined 3i from Protostar Partners, a direct secondary private equity firm. Prior, Don was a Vice President at Sentinel Capital Partners, a NY-based private equity firm, where he focused on middle market buyout investments in the industrial, business services and consumer industries. Don was engaged in transaction execution and business development, while working with portfolio companies on strategic, financial and operational issues. At Sentinel, Don served on the board of directors of Strategic Partners, Spinrite, LTi Flexible Products and Midwest Wholesale Hardware. Prior to joining Sentinel, Don worked at Saratoga Partners, a middle market buyout and turnaround investment firm.

Don began his career in investment banking at JPMorgan and PricewaterhouseCoopers. He earned his Masters in Business Administration from Columbia Business School and Bachelor of Arts in political economics from Princeton University.
