Nature of Business

Octagon is a £229m project to design, build and maintain a new hospital in Norwich. Under a 35-year PFI contract, Octagon maintains the hospital. The NHS Trust is committed to make RPI-linked payments to cover the use and maintenance of the buildings and is responsible for the provision of all clinical services. The hospital was completed in September 2001, 20 weeks early and under budget.
