In April 2007, 3i held a CEO’s forum in China under the theme of ‘Connecting China’. It was held to give the opportunity to CEO’s and MD’s to benefit from being a part of a much larger network in China, the 3i network.  It gave all attendees the opportunity to share their insights and learn from the experiences of other CEO’s and MD in managing business in China, whether large companies or small, young or old, local or truly International.

The forum consisted of a working-session, aimed at sharing the experience and addressing common issues faced by businesses operating in China.   Speaker Ian Duffy, CEO of IKEA Asia Pacific, shared his experiences from 6 years at IKEA in China, and outlined his perspective on the important issues to address in establishing successful business in China.
