Michael joined 3i in 2015 and is a Director in the German Private Equity team. He is responsible for the Business & Technology Services sector in the German-speaking region. He led the investment in MAIT, an IT services provider and was part of the deal team for the investment in Luqom (Lampenwelt), an online retailer of lighting products. He is currently on the Boards of MAIT and DNS:NET, a provider of fibre telecommunication solutions.
Prior to joining 3i, Michael worked at Warburg Pincus in Frankfurt and London, where he was involved in a number of private equity investments in Germany and Europe. Previously, he worked in the Transaction Advisory Services division of Ernst & Young and in consulting with Deloitte Consulting.
Michael holds a Master degree in Economics from Maastricht University in the Netherlands.

David is a Partner based in London and is co-head of the UK PE team, leading its efforts in the industrial technology sector.
David has worked on a number of 3i investments, including its acquisition of Sussex-based Aspen Pumps, the global market leader in condensate removal pumps; Ohio-based Q Holding, manufacturer of precision moulded silicone components for the auto and medical industries; Wisconsin-headquartered Dynatect Manufacturing, a provider of critical components designed to protect and elongate equipment lifetime and promote worker safety; and Oxfordshire-based Audley Travel, the leading provider of tailor-made travel, where David currently sits on the Board.
Prior to joining 3i, David worked in investment banking at DC Advisory Partners, advising clients on European mid-market M&A.

Jamie joined 3i in 2017. He is focused on originating and executing Private Equity investments across a range of industry sectors, primarily within the UK.
Prior to joining 3i, Jamie was an Investment Manager at Duke Street, where he focused on the services and healthcare sectors. Prior to that, he worked in the investment banking team at Hawkpoint Partners in London advising on public and private transactions across a variety of sectors.
Jamie holds a BA in Economics from Durham University.

Prior to joining 3i in 2016, James worked as a consultant at Roland Berger and Deloitte.

Jo Thomson leads the Active Partnership team. Her core responsibilities include the sharing of best practice across our investors as well as our portfolio companies. This incorporates the delivery of key events such as the CEO and Chairman Forums, developing Active Partnership related training, creating visibility of advisor performance on Active Partnership initiatives as well as working on key business priorities, for example digitisation and sustainability. She is also responsible for the marketing and internal communications for the Private Equity business.
Prior to joining 3i, Jo worked at EY, initially in their Transaction Advisory Services group and then as Operations Director for their Global Private Equity team.

Nicolas joined 3i in 2014 and is a Director in the Private Equity team based in Frankfurt.
He was part of the deal team in 3i's investments in Luqom Group, GartenHaus, MPM, Weener Plastics and KINOLT. He currently sits on the Boards of Luqom Group and Christ and was an Observer on the GEKA Board.
Previously, Nicolas worked in Deutsche Bank’s investment banking team with a focus on M&A.

Robert joined 3i in 2005 as a Partner and is based in 3i's Benelux office. As former head of 3i's global Consumer sector, he remains an active member of the sector team. Robert has also led 3i's efforts into developing and executing digital strategies for 3i itself and its portfolio companies.
He has been involved in, amongst others, Action, nexeye (formerly Hans Anders), BoConcept, Basic-Fit, KINOLT (formerly Euro-Diesel), Amor, ABX Logistics, Azelis, Aviapartner, Hyva, Havea, Christ and VNU Media. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Action.
Prior to joining 3i, Robert was a Partner at Permira and before that worked in private equity related finance areas at Salomon Smith Barney (now Citigroup) in London, Citibank in London and Chase Manhattan Bank (now JP Morgan) in New York.
He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago, a degree in Business Administration for the University of Louvain (Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium), and a Law degree from the University of Louvain (Leuven, Belgium).

Valerie joined 3i in 2022 as an Analyst in the Benelux Private Equity team.
Prior to joining 3i, Valerie gained internship experience in the Investment Banking team at Lazard Benelux and mid-market Private Equity firm Bencis Capital Partners.
She holds a BSc degree in Economics and Finance from the University of Amsterdam, and a MSc in Finance and Investments from the RSM Erasmus.

Ulf joined 3i Germany in 2001 and was appointed joint Managing Director and co-head of Germany in May 2009. He is responsible for 3i's Industrial sector.
Ulf has worked on a number of Private Equity transactions at 3i. His most recent deals include MAIT, Formel D and Weener Plastics, where he also sits on the board. He has also led the successful exits of ATESTEO, GEKA and HILITE International.
Ulf studied Mechanical Engineering at the Technical University of Aachen (RWTH), where he also received a PhD. He holds a degree in Business Administration from the University Hagen.

Rutger Vos joined 3i in 2015 where he is a member of the Benelux Private Equity and global Consumer teams.
He is currently involved in 3i’s investments in Mepal, nexeye (formerly Hans Anders), and Action and previously worked on the acquisitions of Dutch Bakery, Royal Sanders and the divestment of Refresco. He currently serves on the Boards of Mepal and nexeye.
Prior to joining 3i, he worked in J.P. Morgan’s Benelux M&A team in London. He holds an MSc in Finance from Duisenberg School of Finance, a BSc in Political Science from the University of Amsterdam and a BSc in Economics & Business from VU University Amsterdam.

Ross joined 3i in 2021 as a member of its North American Private Equity team based in New York. Ross has since been involved in 3i’s investments in SaniSure and ten23 Health.
Prior to joining 3i, Ross was an Investment Banking Analyst with Perella Weinberg Partners in the Healthcare Group, where he focused on M&A advisory and capital raising transactions.
Ross graduated from Emory University with a B.B.A. in Finance and a B.A. in Economics and Mathematics.

Kristina joined 3i in 2019 as a Senior Associate in the Private Equity Team based in Frankfurt.
She focuses on the origination and execution of investments in Germany as well as in the Consumer and Healthcare sectors. She was part of the deal team in 3i's investments in GartenHaus. She is involved in 3i’s investment in Luqom Group where she is a Board observer.
Prior to joining 3i, Kristina worked as an Investment Banking Analyst at ALANTRA in Germany.

Peter joined 3i Germany in 1998. He was appointed co-Managing Director 3i Deutschland in May 2009 and Co-Head of Private Equity in April 2019.
During his time at 3i, Peter has taken a leading role across more than 15 transactions including GartenHaus, Luqom (Lampenwelt), Christ, Scandlines, Amor and MotorenWerkeMannheim (MWM).
Further transactions in which Peter has been involved include 3i’s investments in arrivia (ICE), Action, Basic-Fit, NORMA, Hyva and Azelis. Peter currently sits on the Boards of Luqom, Christ, MPM and GartenHaus.
Prior to joining 3i, Peter worked for Procter & Gamble and Deutsche Bank. He holds a degree in Business and Administration from the University of Bamberg.
