Jim is a lawyer with over thirty years’ experience in infrastructure and private equity investments and funds.

He has worked in 3i’s Infrastructure Team since 2007, heading the legal team until 2025, when he assumed a role as a senior adviser to the business. 

Jim joined 3i in 1998, initially working with 3i's UK investment business and subsequently for the wider corporate group.

Jim qualified as a solicitor and worked at international private equity and M&A law firm Ashurst from 1993 to 1998.
