In February 2026, we hosted our 3i CTO webinar focused on cyber security, bringing together c.30 technology leaders from across our Private Equity and Infrastructure portfolios.

The discussion centred on the reality of modern cyber risk, the increasingly sophisticated threats, the operational impact of incidents as well as some of the more positive recent trends, for example the savings from Security AI and automation as well as an increase in breaches being detected internally. CTOs shared recent first-hand experiences, practical mitigation strategies and lessons learned in strengthening resilience.

We also reflected on feedback and emerging trends from recent cyber workshops held across the portfolio, highlighting a continued focus on governance, employee awareness and third-party risk management.
