Royal British Veterans Enterprise
RBVE is a national charity supporting the Armed Forces, people with disabilities and people who are unemployed.
RBVE supports veterans struggling to adjust to civilian life by providing employment through its Social Enterprise manufacturing facilities, offering a range of accommodation options for them and their family members on its Village in Kent, and offering the Lifeworks programme to help them get back into work.

Since 2018, RBVE has been expanding its Centenary Village which is a community of mixed homes, including a homeless hostel, to support disadvantaged veterans. The Village currently provides homes for over 300 veterans and their families.
During the past year, RBVE has started construction on a new 6 bedroom, multi occupancy home which will act as ‘Move On’ accommodation for veterans who have been street homeless, as well as the final 30 homes on the Village. These will include a mix of supported living, family homes and Move On homes to support the veterans’ recovery, employment and independent living.
In addition to providing this infrastructure, RBVE also supports veterans through its employability programme, Lifeworks, and its two social enterprises in Kent and Scotland.
During 2025, the Lifeworks programme expanded to 39 face-to-face courses, which supported 475 unemployed veterans with job coaching. 80% of participants gained work within 12 months of participating in this training.
The two social enterprises delivered over £2.4m of social value through creating 134 roles for veterans and people with disabilities. The two facilities made over 250,000 road, rail and commercial signs in 2025.
I was in a bad place when I first moved in, and now I’m ready to live a new chapter of my life now. They have helped me out so much - I’m looking forward to my future now.
