Royal British Veterans Enterprise
RBVE is a national charity supporting the Armed Forces, people with disabilities and people who are unemployed.
RBVE supports veterans struggling to adjust to civilian life by providing employment through its Social Enterprise manufacturing facilities, offering a range of accommodation options for them and their family members on its Village in Kent, and offering the Lifeworks programme to help them get back into work.

Since 2018, RBVE has been expanding its Centenary Village which is a community of mixed homes, including a homeless hostel, to support disadvantaged veterans. In January 2025, the first female forces veterans moved into their purpose-built emergency accommodation on the Village. This Home of Multiple Occupancy project provides support to those overcoming health challenges, mental health crises, homelessness, abuse or domestic violence.
In addition to providing this infrastructure, the charity also offers the veterans a programme of activities including independent living skills, digital inclusion, debt advice, employability coaching and mental health support, as well as drop-in substance abuse support and advice. Veterans also benefit from RBVE’s Lifeworks coaching programme.
In 2024/2025, the Lifeworks programme supported 435 unemployed veterans from across all 3 services. 38% of participants were overcoming injuries or physical health conditions and 64% were overcoming mental health challenges.
RBVE's Britain’s Bravest Manufacturing Company is the UK’s leading social enterprise providing employment to military veterans, as well as to those with disabilities, and is a national market leader in the production of road and rail signs.
As soon as I walked into the flat it felt like home. Living at Centenary Village has improved my life and that’s brilliant. I’ve outlived my friends, but there are new friends here and this is my home.
