Snowdon Trust

The Snowdon Trust (“ST”) is committed to building an inclusive society where disabled people no longer face barriers to education or employment.

Their work is delivered across four areas: providing disability-related study costs grants to physically disabled and sensory impaired students studying in the UK; fully funding a number of Master's Scholarships for disabled students each year; running the Disabled Leaders Network which is a leadership forum for disabled students, graduates and professionals to come together, share their experiences, learn skills and drive disability inclusion; and information, advice and campaigning where the charity uses its voice, and the voices of its disabled student community, to support the sharing of data, stories and lived experiences to drive structural change which supports all disabled people.

During the ‘24/’25 academic year, ST provided 67 disabled students with grants to cover essential disability-related costs such as accessible accommodation, wheelchairs and sign language interpreters. The charity also awarded 9 Master’s Scholarships.

The charity’s Disabled Leaders Network, which brings disabled students and graduates together to share their experiences, develop leadership skills, expand their professional networks and collaborate and advocate for disability inclusion, reached over 400 people during the year.

During the year, ST launched two new partnerships targeting specific groups of students. The Motability Foundation partnered with the charity for three years to provide grants for mobility equipment, including power chairs for 150 wheelchair users.

In addition, the DFN Charitable Foundation donated funds which enabled ST to deliver 6 new scholarship awards for students aiming for roles in corporate leadership, government and policymaking.
