Ben Minett

Senior Associate

Ben joined 3i in February 2021 and is a Senior Associate in the Infrastructure team based in London. He is primarily responsible for the origination and execution of deals and the management of assets across the economic infrastructure space.

Prior to joining 3i, Ben worked at Macquarie Capital in London, with a focus on Renewable Energy transactions.

Ben holds a BA in Economics from the University of Cambridge.

Neel Mistry

Associate Director
UK / Infrastructure

Neel is an Associate Director in 3i’s Infrastructure team in London and joined 3i in January 2016. He is primarily responsible for the origination and execution of deals and the management of assets in the infrastructure sector.

Prior to joining 3i, Neel worked as a Financial Analyst at Columbia Threadneedle Investments.

Neel is a Chartered Accountant and holds a BSc in Money, Banking and Finance from The University of Birmingham.

Scott Moseley

Managing Partner, Co-Head of European Infrastructure
UK / Infrastructure

Scott Moseley joined the Infrastructure team in 2007 and was made Partner in 2012. Scott became Managing Partner and Co-Head of European Infrastructure in July 2022 and is also a member of 3i’s Executive Committee and Investment Committee.

Together with Bernardo Sottomayor, Scott is responsible for managing a team with approximately £6bn in invested capital across four Infrastructure funds, including our flagship fund, 3i Infrastructure plc, which has achieved asset level returns of 19% p.a. since its inception.

Scott has direct investment experience across various sub-sectors including Digital Infrastructure (Tampnet and GCX), Energy (Elenia and ESVAGT), Transportation (Eversholt Rail Group) and Social Infrastructure (Cross London Trains).

Claudio Ossanna

Senior Associate
UK / Infrastructure

Claudio joined 3i in September 2019, and is a Senior Associate in the Infrastructure team based in London. He is responsible for the origination and execution of new investments in Europe, as well as supporting the activities of portfolio companies including Oystercatcher, Belfast City Airport and SRL Traffic Systems.

He has previous experience from Barclays Investment Bank and CVC Credit Partners.

Claudio holds a MSc in International Finance from HEC Paris and a BSc in Economics from Universitá Cattolica del Sacro Cuore.

Marco Pampanin

Analyst
France / Infrastructure

Marco joined 3i in March 2022 and is an Analyst in the Infrastructure team based in Paris. He is primarily responsible for the origination and execution of deals across the Economic Infrastructure and Projects space. He is currently involved in Ionisos and Herambiente.

Marco graduated from Bocconi University in Milan (Msc in Finance) and interned in the project finance team of UniCredit in Milan, covering origination and execution in the CEE region .

Marta Pinto

Senior Associate
UK / Infrastructure

Marta joined 3i in October 2021 and is a Senior Associate in the Infrastructure team based in London. She is primarily responsible for the origination and execution of deals and the management of assets across the economic infrastructure space.

Prior to joining 3i, Marta worked in Sumitomo Corporation Europe, with a focus on deal origination and execution, and asset management, and in the investment banking division of Société Générale as part of the Energy and Infrastructure team.

Marta holds a degree in Biomedical Science from Queen Mary University of London.

Edward Pike

Senior Legal Counsel
UK / Infrastructure

Ed is a qualified solicitor who joined 3i’s Infrastructure Team as legal counsel in September 2017.

He has responsibility for legal and regulatory aspects of new investments and divestments, portfolio management and legal risk management.  Prior to joining 3i, Ed worked at the law firm Travers Smith LLP from 2012 to 2017, specialising in M&A and private equity.

Malavika Rajagopal

Associate
North America / Infrastructure

Malavika joined 3i’s Infrastructure team in New York in April 2023.

Prior to 3i, Malavika was an Investment Banking Analyst at Goldman Sachs in the Natural Resources Group. Before joining Goldman Sachs, she was an IBD Analyst at Morgan Stanley.

Malavika holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Chicago.

Charlie Rees

Associate

Charlie joined 3i in June 2023 and is an Associate in the Infrastructure team based in London. He is primarily responsible for the origination and execution of deals and the management of assets across the economic infrastructure space.

Prior to joining 3i, Charlie was an Associate in the Transport & Infrastructure team at Rothschild & Co in the Sydney and London offices.

Charlie holds a Master of Finance at The University of New South Wales and a Bachelor of Commerce at The University of Sydney.

Daniel Riscoe

Senior Associate
North America / Infrastructure

Daniel joined 3i in 2019 and is a Senior Associate in the North American Infrastructure team.

Prior to joining 3i, Daniel was an Analyst at Post Road Group where he focused on growth investments in the telecom and communications infrastructure sectors.

Daniel holds an Economics degree from Princeton University.

Chris Rowland

Director

Chris is a Director in 3i's Infrastructure team in London with a focus on origination, execution and asset management of investments in Europe.

Prior to joining 3i, Chris worked in transaction services at PwC where he focused on providing post-deal support to private equity backed businesses. He previously led the European corporate finance team at a large European real estate developer and construction business.

Chris holds a BSc in Accounting & Statistics, and is a Chartered Accountant.

Trevor Russo

Director
North America / Infrastructure

Trevor joined 3i in 2022 and is a Director in the North American Infrastructure team. He is primarily responsible for the origination, evaluation and execution of new investment opportunities in the infrastructure sector, as well as managing existing investments.

Prior to 3i, Trevor was a Director with Ironwood Capital, a lower middle market private equity firm, where he focused on originating, structuring, and executing debt and equity investments.

Trevor holds an MBA from Columbia Business School, the Chartered Financial Analyst designation, and a BS, summa cum laude, in Finance from the University of Connecticut.

David Schuster

Director, Infrastructure Strategy
UK / Infrastructure

David is Strategy Director for 3i’s Infrastructure team and joined in 2021. He is responsible for the planning and implementation of key strategic and operational initiatives as well as the development of growth and fund activities, including those related to ESG.

Prior to joining 3i, David was part of PwC's Deals team in London and New York providing buy-side, sell-side, and value creation support to investors and management teams.

David is a CFA charterholder and has a degree in Finance and Economics from The College of New Jersey.

Tim Short

Partner

Tim joined 3i in 2007, where his focus is on the origination, execution and debt financing of infrastructure investments.

His transaction experience includes Attero, Belfast City Airport, East Surrey Pipelines, Elenia, ESVAGT, Infinis, Oystercatcher, Scandlines, Tampnet, TCR and WIG.

Prior to joining 3i, he was at RBC Capital Markets, having started his career in the European financial restructuring group at Houlihan Lokey.

Tim has an MA and an MPhil in Economics from St John's College, Cambridge.

Bernardo Sottomayor

Managing Partner, Co-Head of European Infrastructure

Bernardo became Managing Partner, Co-Head of European Infrastructure alongside Scott Moseley in July 2022 and is a member of 3i Group's Executive and Investment Committees. Bernardo joined 3i in 2015 as a Partner with responsibility for origination and execution of new investments across Europe, principally economic infrastructure businesses. 

Bernardo has 18 years of infrastructure investment experience and was most recently a Partner at Antin Infrastructure which manages funds investing in infrastructure opportunities across Europe.

Prior to Antin, Bernardo was Managing Director, Head of Acquisitions for Deutsche Bank’s European infrastructure fund. His prior experience was in utilities, as Head of M&A at Energias de Portugal, and in infrastructure advisory with UBS and Citigroup.

Bernardo holds an economics degree from the Nova School of Business and Economics in Lisbon, Portugal.

Jim Stoner

Head of Legal, Infrastructure

Jim is a lawyer with over twenty-five years’ experience in infrastructure and private equity investments and funds. He has worked in 3i’s Infrastructure Team since 2007 and heads a legal team with responsibilities for legal risk management, legal and regulatory aspects of new investment, portfolio management, fund structuring, and equity and debt raising by 3i and its fund clients.

Jim joined 3i in 1998, initially working with the UK investment business and subsequently for the wider 3i corporate group.

Jim qualified as a solicitor and worked at international private equity and M&A law firm Ashurst from 1993 to 1998.
