JMJ Associates Announces New CEO Mark Britton
JMJ Associates, the world’s leading Safety Leadership consultancy, announced the appointment of Mark Britton as its Chief Executive Officer effective January 1, 2015.
Mr. Britton, who has been with JMJ since 1994, served previously as JMJ’s Chief Operating Officer before accepting the appointment to CEO. He is stepping in to the role as Stephen Portner retires after thirteen years of service as JMJ CEO and over twenty years with the company. For the past six months, Mr. Portner and Mr. Britton collaborated as co-CEOs in an effort to ensure a powerful transition.

As I turn over the CEO role to Mark, I leave with no doubt that the future of this company and its expansive vision is in the best possible hands. In addition to his time as Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Britton’s experience at JMJ over the past twenty years has included leading consulting engagements and creating breakthrough client results in over 40 different countries. He also led the establishment of JMJ’s operations in South Africa, the Middle East, Asia and Australia. Prior to joining JMJ, Mr. Britton spent eight years with British Petroleum on assignments in the UK and Latin America. He holds a Master’s Degree in the Management of Change.
