3i announces four senior promotions in its Infrastructure team

3i is pleased to announce the promotions of Anna Dellis and Tim Short to Partner and of Ashutosh Agrawal and Gaurav Bhurat to Director in its Infrastructure business.

Anna Dellis is promoted to Partner, having joined 3i in 2006. Based in London, she leads asset management for the portfolio of economic infrastructure investments. In 2017, Anna was part of the senior deal team for the acquisition of a portfolio of assets from the EISER Global Infrastructure Fund. Anna has been involved in many of the team’s significant investments including Oystercatcher, Eversholt Rail and Elenia. Anna holds various board positions including on the Oiltanking companies within the Oystercatcher portfolio, Belfast City Airport and ESP.

Tim Short is also based in London and joined 3i in 2007. Tim leads the team’s debt financing activities as well as covering origination, execution and asset management of infrastructure investments. Tim has played key roles in many of the team’s successful investments including Elenia, Infinis, Oystercatcher and Scandlines. He is on the board of Infinis.

Ashutosh and Gaurav are both based in Mumbai, and currently manage various investments across the power, roads, ports and facilities management sectors. Both joined 3i''s India Infrastructure Team in 2011.

3i’s Infrastructure business, which had assets under management of approximately £3.4bn as at 31 March 2018, invests principally in economic infrastructure businesses and greenfield projects. The business had a very strong year in FY18, advising 3i Infrastructure plc (“3iN”) on six investments and commitments totalling £525 million and on the divestments of Elenia and AWG, which helped to generate a total return of 29% for 3iN, as well as a special dividend of £143 million for 3i. It also closed two European Infrastructure fund platforms, raising more than £1 billion, and invested £177 million in 3i’s first US infrastructure investment, Smarte Carte.
