    Alan joined 3i in 2005 and is Managing Partner, Head of Private Equity and a member of 3i’s Executive Committee and Investment Committee, having previously been Global Sector Head for Business & Technology Services.

    Prior to joining 3i he spent 13 years in investment banking, latterly as Managing Director at Societe Generale, where he was Global Head of Transport & Business Services, advising a range of quoted and private equity owned businesses. Alan started his career as a Chartered Accountant at KPMG, and has a degree in Economics from Durham University. Alan is also the Senior Independent Director of Hill & Smith Holdings PLC, a FTSE 250 company.

    Since joining 3i Alan has led a number of transactions across the Business & Technology Services and Consumer sectors including the Buyouts of Audley Travel, Mayborn, Element Materials Technology, JMJ Associates and Inspicio Group. He currently sits on the Board of Audley Travel.

    Andreas joined 3i in 2007 and is a Director in the Frankfurt office.

    His key investments include: NORMA Group and add-on investment into R.G.Ray, forming a leader in engineered joining technology as well as its IPO on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange; Amor, the German market leader for affordable precious jewellery; Christ, a leading retailer for jewellery and watches in Germany; and Scandlines, one of Europe’s largest ferry operators. He is currently a Board member of Scandlines.

    Before joining 3i, Andreas worked in investment banking, M&A transactions and asset management with Sal. Oppenheim and UBS. Andreas holds an MSc in Banking and International Finance from Cass Business School in London.

    Rowena joined 3i in 2007 and is based in London, focusing on originating, executing and representing 3i on the Boards of Private Equity investments. She has been involved in 3i's investments in Audley Travel, Aspen Pumps and Phibro Animal Health, and the sale of Centrul Medical Unirea to Advent International. Rowena currently sits on the Board of Audley Travel.

    Previously, Rowena worked for venture capital firm Scottish Equity Partners in London, and for boutique funds management group Quest Asset Partners in Sydney.

    Rowena holds a Bachelor of Advanced Science/Commerce degree from the University of Sydney, Australia and spent one year of her degree on exchange at Royal Holloway, University of London.

    Prior to joining 3i, Jacques-Henry co-founded Cambridge Crops, a biotechnology company based in Boston, USA, which he successfully sold in summer 2018.

    He began his career in Private Equity at Astorg Partners, spending four years in the Paris team where he focused on healthcare and industrial investments across Europe.

    Jacques-Henry is a graduate from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and EDHEC Business School.

    Isabelle has worked on 3i’s investment in Audley Travel, the market leader in luxury tailor-made travel, and was part of the deal team for the investment in Cirtec Medical, based in the US.

    Prior to joining 3i, Isabelle worked in investment banking at J.P. Morgan Cazenove in the UK M&A team. Isabelle has a BSc in Economics and Management from the University of Bristol.

    Sachin focuses on originating, executing and representing 3i on the Boards of Private Equity investments across a range of industry sectors, primarily within the UK.

    His recent deals include Aspen Pumps (global leader in condensate removal pumps for AC units), Element Materials Technology (a market leading laboratory-based testing company), MKM Building Supplies (the UK’s largest independent builders’ merchant) and ATESTEO (German headquartered international drivetrain testing business). Sachin also assists with the portfolio management of AESSEAL and Aspen Pumps and was previously on the board of SLR.

    Prior to joining 3i, Sachin worked in investment banking at Citigroup where he focused on the industrial and services sectors. Sachin holds a Masters in Finance from Cambridge University and a BSc in Chemistry & Management from Imperial College London.

    Anil joined 3i in 2007 and is the Partner responsible for 3i's Banking Team within the Private Equity division.

    The team has a broad international remit and is responsible for the firm's relationships with its financing institutions and provides specialist banking advice spanning all key financing stages associated with new and existing portfolio assets across 3i Private Equity. This includes raising primary acquisition finance, advising on the management of leveraged capital structures and preparing exit financing. Financing products cover the full debt capital markets spectrum.

    Anil has worked on transactions across 3i’s international platform including Scandlines, Mayborn, Norma, Xellia, Civica, Memora, Refresco, Hilite, Amor, GEKA, Christ, WP, ATESTEO, Schlemmer, Ponroy, Lampenwelt and Formel D.

    Anil has over 22 years of banking experience, having started at Lloyds Bank Corporate Banking in 1995. Anil subsequently worked for Dresdner Kleinwort from 1999, where he held various positions in Credit Risk Management, Structured Finance and Corporate Finance & Advisory. He had a particular focus on the Telecoms, Media & Technology sector and Acquisition Finance, completing landmark transactions across a wide range of geographies, sectors and financing structures. Anil studied at Sussex University and holds a BA in Economics, he is an Associate Member of Corporate Treasurers and an Alumni of the Singularity University Executive Programme (October 2017).

    Tony joined 3i in 1998 and became Chief Operating Officer in 2010.  He is a member of the Leadership Team, with responsibility for the operational and financial management of 3i’s international Private Equity business. 

    Over his career at 3i, Tony has played a key role in the shaping of 3i’s Private Equity business, including its international development, and has been involved in raising capital from both quoted and unquoted markets.

    Tony is also a member of the Private Equity Reporting Group (PERG), an independent body set up following a UK government review of transparency and disclosures within the Private Equity industry.

    Before joining 3i, Tony worked at KPMG where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant and worked on a number of companies in the consumer and technology sector. 

    Tony has a Geography degree from Loughborough University.

    Ian joined 3i in 1987 and became a Partner in 1994 prior to its IPO on the London Stock Exchange. Currently based in London, having previously been based in Paris, he is an experienced investor and Board member across three continents, business types and sectors including Industrials, Healthcare and Business & Technology Services.

    In his current role as Managing Partner, Asset Management, Ian is involved in investing and asset management activity across 3i. 

    His current board focus is on a number of leading, international companies including: AESSEAL (seals for rotating equipment); ACR Capital Holdings (pan-Asian reinsurance); Cirtec Medical (medical device outsourcing) and Tato (specialty chemicals). Ian is also a Director of 3i Infrastructure plc, the FTSE250 listed long-term investor in infrastructure businesses and assets.

    Prior to his current role, Ian led 3i’s Technology business in Europe having invested in areas including security software (Sophos), artificial intelligence (Searchspace), mobile technology (Nujira) and genomics (Oxagen).

    Ian is a member of the 3i Group Investment Committee and the BVCA UK and European Capital Committee.

    Ian graduated in Chemical Engineering from the University of Birmingham. Prior to 3i, Ian worked as an Engineer for BOC Specialty Gases in the UK supplying the medical, semi-conductor and space research sectors.

    Rahul Lulla joined 3i in 2012 as a member of the North American Private Equity team.

    Rahul focuses on Business & Technology Services (includes HR, IT, Legal and other outsourced services), Healthcare (includes pharmaceutical services & consumer health), and Industrial (includes fluid management and other engineered products) and has been involved in 3i’s investments in Mold-Masters, Quintiles, TouchTunes, Q Holdings, Dynatect Manufacturing and ICE. He currently sits on the Board of Dynatect Manufacturing and ICE.

    Previously, Rahul worked at Monitor Clipper Partners in Boston, where he focused on investments in business services and consumer. Prior to this, Rahul worked at Credit Suisse in New York where he was a member of the Investment Banking Division’s Healthcare Group.

    Rahul received a BA in Economics and Mathematics with Honors from Vassar College, and an MBA with Honors from Columbia Business School.

    He was a deal team member on 3i’s investments in Christ, Schlemmer and Formel D. As a core member of the deal team, he led the successful sale of ATESTEO, the leading independent provider for drivetrain testing services.

    Before joining 3i, Severin spent two years at UBS Investment Bank covering the German-speaking region. He also worked as Business Development Manager for a portfolio company of HAL Investments, which is active in the sale of medical aids.

    Severin graduated with a CEMS Master in International Management from the Rotterdam School of Management (the Netherlands) and HEC Paris (France).

    Prior to joining 3i, Joy was at Skillcapital, working exclusively with private equity funds across Europe to recruit buy-in management teams for LBOs and board level management for PE portfolio companies. Joy began her career in finance with Goldman Sachs and spent five years working in the Private Wealth Management division, with a focus on asset allocation strategies. She holds a BSc in Economics & Finace and a first class honours Masters degree in Quantitative Finance from University College Dublin.

    At 3i, Jeremy is currently on the Board of Ponroy Santé Group, a European leader in the natural consumer healthcare industry, and has been involved in EURO-DIESEL, the leading provider of Diesel Rotary Uninterruptable Power Supply (“DRUPS”) systems headquartered in Belgium. Previously, he worked on Vedici, a leader in private healthcare in France; and Loxam, the European leader in rental equipment for the construction industry.

    Prior to 3i, Jeremy worked at Citigroup in London where he focused on Telecom Media and Technology transactions in EMEA. He has also worked at HSBC in Paris where he focused on executing deals in the French market.

    Jeremy has a Masters degree from ESSEC Business School.
