Bastiaan Peer is a Director in the Benelux Private Equity team.
He is a deal team member for Basic-Fit (European value-for-money fitness chain), BoConcept (global furniture brand) and Royal Sanders (producer of personal care products). He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Royal Sanders. Previously, Bastiaan served on the Board of Directors of Kinolt (supplier of Dynamic UPS systems) and was an Observer on the Boards of Azelis (a pan-European specialty chemicals distribution company) and BoConcept.
Prior to joining 3i, Bastiaan worked in the Benelux Investment Banking team at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in Amsterdam.
He holds a Masters degree in Financial Economics and a Masters degree in Financial Law from the Erasmus University, Rotterdam.

Richard joined 3i in 2007 and is co-Head of 3i’s North American Private Equity team.
He focuses on Healthcare and Industrials and has been involved in 3i’s investments in Mold-Masters, Quintiles, Q Holding, Dynatect Manufacturing and Cirtec Medical. He currently sits on the Boards of Q Holding, Dynatect Manufacturing and Cirtec Medical, and previously sat on the Boards of Quintiles and Mold-Masters.
Prior to joining 3i, Richard was a Principal at Halyard Capital, where he invested in companies in the media, business services and communications sectors. Prior to joining Halyard, Richard was an Associate at Entrade, where he invested in technology and internet infrastructure businesses.
Richard began his career at Security Capital's Preferred Growth Private Equity fund.
He is actively involved in several non-profit organisations and is the Chairman of the New York Private Equity Network. Richard received a BA in Economics from Williams College.

Alastair is Director, Head of Legal for 3i's Private Equity team, with responsibility for legal risk management and the provision of legal support for new investments, portfolio matters, exits and fundraising activities to 3i's international Private Equity business.
Alastair joined 3i in 1998 from the law firm, Nabarro LLP, where he worked as an Associate specialising in international corporate M&A and private equity. He holds a BA joint honours degree in Economics & Law from Durham University and is qualified as a Solicitor in England & Wales. Alastair is also vice chair of the BVCA Legal & Accounting Committee.

Christoph joined 3i in 2015 and is an Associate Director in the German Private Equity team. He was part of the deal team in 3i's investment in Weener Plastics, a leading manufacturer of innovative plastic packaging systems for fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) companies, and is a Member of Weener Plastics' Supervisory Board. He was also part of the deal team in 3i's investment in Formel D.
Prior to joining 3i, Christoph worked at Rothschild in the German M&A advisory team, where he was involved in a number of German and cross-border transactions for industrial and consumer companies. Previously, he worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers in the Advisory Transactions Valuation & Strategy division focusing on clients in the technology sector.
Christoph holds a Master of Engineering from Imperial College in London.

Connor joined 3i in 2019 as a member of its North American Private Equity team based in New York. Connor has since been involved in 3i’s investments in Dynatect and Magnitude.
Prior to joining 3i, Connor was a consultant at Oliver Wyman, where he worked on a variety of strategy and commercial diligence engagements across the US, Europe and the Middle East.
Connor graduated with honors from Cornell University, where he studied Economics and English.

Alec joined 3i in 2015, based in 3i's North American Private Equity team. Alec focuses primarily on software and business & technology services and has been involved in 3i’s platform investments in Magnitude Software, International Cruises & Excursions (“ICE”), Audley Travel, Dynatect and Quintiles (renamed IQVIA). He has also been involved in the SOR Technology, iCruise/WMPH, Thodacon GMBH and Vascotube transactions. He is currently a Board Director for Magnitude Software and Board Observer for ICE.
Prior to 3i, Alec was an Associate Consultant at Bain & Company where he worked in the private equity group and for corporate clients in the business services, consumer products and telecommunications sectors. His work included commercial due-diligence, growth strategy, post-merger integration, performance improvement and supply-chain restructuring.
Alec graduated as a Robertson Scholar from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Duke University, where he earned a BS in Business Administration and BA in Economics.

Rudi Schembri joined 3i’s Banking Team in June 2015 and has since worked on banking for several acquisitions and portfolio companies including Action, ATESTEO, Evernex, Formel D, GEKA, Hans Anders, Luqom Group, Havea and Scandlines.
Before joining 3i Private Equity, Rudi spent 4 years in Deutsche Bank’s Leveraged Debt Capital Markets Team, where he worked across both the term loan and high yield bond products. Prior to this, Rudi spent 5 years at UBS in the Leveraged Finance Team and the UK Investment Banking Team. In addition, Rudi worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers’ consulting services for 1 year.
Rudi holds an MSc Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics and is a Certified Public Accountant. He also holds a Bachelor of Accountancy (Honours) and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Malta, both with first class honours.

Jake joined 3i in 2019 as a member of its North American Private Equity team based in New York. Jake has since been involved in 3i’s investment in Q Holdings.
Prior to joining 3i, Jake worked as an Associate at Golden Gate Capital, where he invested in the healthcare and industrial sectors. Prior to Golden Gate, Jake was a Senior Associate Consultant at Bain & Company, the management consulting firm, and Head of FP&A at Bowery Farming, a VC-backed start-up.
Jake graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania.

Michael joined 3i in 2015 and is a Director in the German Private Equity team. He was part of the deal team for the investments in Luqom Group, an online retailer of lighting products.
Prior to joining 3i, Michael worked at Warburg Pincus in Frankfurt and London, where he was involved in a number of private equity investments in Germany and Europe. Previously, he worked in the Transaction Advisory Services division of Ernst & Young and in consulting with Deloitte Consulting.
Michael holds a Master degree in Economics from Maastricht University in the Netherlands.

David focuses on originating, executing and representing 3i on the Boards of Private Equity investments across Europe. He predominantly focuses on 3i's activities in the Industrial sector in the UK, but has also spent significant time on deal execution in the US.
Recent deals David has worked on include 3i’s investments in Sussex-based Aspen Pumps, the global market leader in condensate removal pumps; Oxfordshire-based Audley Travel, the leading provider of tailor-made travel; Ohio-based Q Holding, manufacturer of precision moulded rubber and silicone components for the auto and medical industries; and Wisconsin-headquartered Dynatect Manufacturing, Inc, manufacturer of critical components designed to protect and elongate equipment lifetime and promote worker safety.
David worked on the sale of London-based Civica, the international provider of specialist IT systems and business process services, and was previously a Director on the Board of ESG before its disposal to Socotec.
Prior to joining 3i, David worked in investment banking at DC Advisory Partners, advising clients on European mid-market M&A.

Jamie joined 3i in 2017 and is an Associate Director. He is focused on originating and executing Private Equity investments across a range of industry sectors, primarily within the UK.
Prior to joining 3i, Jamie was an Investment Manager at Duke Street, where he focused on the services and healthcare sectors. Prior to that, he worked in the investment banking team at Hawkpoint Partners in London advising on public and private transactions across a variety of sectors.
Jamie holds a BA in Economics from Durham University.

Jerin joined 3i in 2019 as a member of its North American Private Equity team based in New York. Since joining, Jerin has been involved in 3i’s investment in Cirtec Medical.
Prior to joining 3i, Jerin was a member of the Global Healthcare Group at Credit Suisse where he focused on advising clients on mergers & acquisitions, capital raising and other corporate activities.
Jerin graduated with Honors from New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business with a B.S. in Finance and Economics and Minor in Psychology.

Jo Thomson leads the Active Partnership team. Her core responsibilities include the sharing of best practice across our investors as well as our portfolio companies. This incorporates the delivery of key events such as the CEO and Chairman Forums, developing Active Partnership related training, creating visibility of advisor performance on Active Partnership initiatives as well as working on key business priorities, for example digitisation and sustainability. She is also responsible for the marketing and internal communications for the Private Equity business.
Prior to joining 3i, Jo worked at EY, initially in their Transaction Advisory Services group and then as Operations Director for their Global Private Equity team.

John joined 3i in 1996. He moved to Singapore in 2000 where he was responsible for 3i’s South East Asia Private Equity business. He is currently an Investment Advisor, based in the UK.
He led 3i’s investments in Franklin Offshore, a rapidly growing service provider to the offshore and marine industries, and was part of the team that led a capital raising for Asia Capital Re, the first pan-Asia re-insurance start-up. He led the Buyout of LHi, a Medtech company based in China that manufactures and supplies medical leads and harnesses globally.
John has been on the deal teams for a number of 3i’s Indian investments including BVG.
Prior to joining 3i, John spent seven years at Coats Viyella plc. He has a BSc (Hons) degree in Physiology from the University of Glasgow.

Nicolas joined 3i in 2014 and is an Associate Director in the Private Equity team based in Frankfurt.

Previously, Nicolas worked in Deutsche Bank’s investment banking team with a focus on M&A.
